I love this booster! I did a lot of research before I bought it. I wanted it to be comfortable, supportive, and most of all, safe. This booster meets all of the safety requirements, has more padding than most booster seats (although it could be a BIT more), and allows the seatbelt strap to fit nicely accross my son’s shoulder. I also like the large headrests because they give adequate support for his head if he want to sleep. Great product!

This seat is remarkable!!! Very well built and more sturdy than anything bought at a baby outlet. My 3 year old loves it, and so do I. Highly recommend it.

The booster seat is great except for one issue. The booster seat’s plastic “shoulder-belt holder” makes it difficult for the shoulder belt to retract and hold firm the seatbelt across my childs’ chest. I notice my boys sitting in their boosters and the strap across their chest is very loose. I always tell my boys to pull the shoulder belt part tight. However, during a trip, when they lean forward/sideways to pick something up from the side seat, the belt doesn’t retract back and I have to ask them to snug it up again.
I have tried everything to get the belt to be able to slide through the plastic easily enough for the belt to retract back into its system. But, nothing has made this issue better. My Costco booster seats did not do this.

My son is pretty big for his age he is 2.5 years old and weighs 35 pounds and is 40 inches tall. I bought this car seat in the winter because we were not having a good fit with our Britax Roundabout (his shoulders were above the harness with his winter coat on) or with our Britax Decathlon (it cut into his legs with bulky winter pants and coat). The Recaro Vivo Lite fits him well when he is in winter clothing, the seat belt slides right under the collar of his coat. However with summer clothes it cuts into his neck a few minutes after I start driving, because he slouches. If he sits up straight it fits across the collarbone, but when he slouches it goes across his neck. We will hang on to this car seat to use again this winter, but for the summer we are back in the Britax Decathlon.
So I think this car seat would work better for a taller child or one that is able to sit upright for extended periods of time.

Hands down, the best car seat I have owned yet! My kids love it, I love the way the don’t fall over when they are sleeping, and I definitely love the side impact safety feature it offers. It’s light in wieght and easy to clean. You get the style of RECARO and the savings your looking for all in one.
